Daniel Man of Dreams

The book of Daniel provides great detail as to what the future holds. It is difficult at times to understand the dreams and visions, but we will try to assemble some sense of commonality in Daniel's dreams with respect to what has been learned in the revelation.

To begin it would be profitable to realize the essence of what is being taught in the dreams and visions of Daniel. To quickly extract the essence of a book I have found it expedient to start from the end of the book and work my way backwards. Most writers spend the first half of a book laying groundwork for the reader to accept or understand what is written in the last half of the book. This is true with the book of Daniel, God reveals to Daniel the future through the dream that king Nebuchadnezzar had of a statue in chapter 2 of Daniel; Then God reaffirms his understandings through a series of personal dreams and a heavenly visitor. Each dream and vision Daniel has builds on his past knowledge with more detail.

Daniel CP 12:1-2 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Let us begin in chapter 12 of Daniel. We find in verse one that it shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation. At that point Michael shall stand up for thy people, and at that time, thy people shall be delivered, (every one that shall be found written in the book).

This is clearly the rapture at this point in time . The Book is the book of life. The next verse speaks of people sleeping in the dust and arising out of the dust to everlasting Life. No place in scripture is the rapture more clearly spoken of, but what about the timing of this event? When verse one begins " And at that time " this statement defines that moment in time as a fixed point in time that we can be use as a point of reference. We know that it will be a time of trouble such as never was, and we know that at that time the dead in Christ shall rise from the dust. We also know that those who are alive and remain shall be delivered. Let us go back in time to find out what precedes our rapture.

In Daniel Chapter eleven verse 40 we find another point of reference " And at the time of the end " You will recall that we started at the rapture in Chapter twelve and began a journey back in time only to find a reference to the end of time or the time of the end. As we proceed further back in time we find in

Daniel CP11:36 that this king shall exalt himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods.

Daniel CP 11:35 and some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge them, and to make them white, even to the time of the end.

For the bible to state "them of understanding" is to say those that are believers, or those that have the knowledge of truth.

Daniel CP 11:33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many, yet they shall fall by the sword, and by the flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.

Daniel CP 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

Daniel CP 11:28 Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant.

All that we have just read will occur in reverse order, remember we are going backwards in time. To clarify what we have just found, we shall review the events, as they will occur in time.

First, the prince of the covenant shall arise, the antichrist that forms a league with the nation Israel. After 42 months the antichrist turns against the covenant with Israel. (Daniel 11:28) Next the antichrist will stop the nation Israel from their sacrifice, and he (the antichrist) shall sit in the temple and claim to be God"(abomination of desolation) (Daniel 11:31) Along this process the people who know their God shall be killed by the sword, fire, flame, and captivity many days. Then it is mentioned "The time of the end", and we see, at a time of trouble such as never was since the earth began. Finally we find the Rapture, where many are called to life from the dust according to whose name is found written in the book.

This is the same event structure we examined in the Revelation, and in Matthew chapter 24. It is very clear that the Bible teaches the same thing everywhere we turn adding more detail as we consider all the prophecies together.

Now that we have set forth the consistency of Daniel's teaching, with respect to and in relation to the other prophecies; let us continue to Daniel and his dreams.

Daniel's knowledge of the future, (The end of time) began with his instructing king Nebuchadnezzar on a dream that the king had, but had forgotten the dream itself. The king knew that the dream was very important and upsetting, so he inquired of all the wise men of his realm. None of his magicians, astrologers or sorcerers could bring to the king a viable explanation, or interpretation of what the dream was and it's meaning.

Daniel, however, found grace in the eyes of God and the dream and its interpretation was given through Daniel that both Daniel and the king might learn of the future. The dream and is interpretation is recorded for us in Daniel chapter 2:31-45. The dream was of a statue made out of five elements starting from the head and ending at the toes.

The five elements were gold, silver, brass, iron and the toes were made of iron mixed with clay. The king was the head of gold, and the last kingdom would be of iron, with the toes mixed of iron and clay.

Daniel CP 2:42-43 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: But they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

The clay is man for man is made of clay or dust; the iron is the demonic iron beast. To say they are mingled together is to say, men become seduced by the demonic, and prisoners to the will of the beast. There is another passage that helps to clarify this verse and it is one of the reasons God judged the earth the first time with water.

Genesis CP 6:1-2 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them. That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Genesis CP. 6: 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men of renown.

It would seem that evil joined itself to good, and produced mighty men, giants, famous men, and this displeased God, and provoked Him to abolish all life, except that which He found acceptable. God has permitted the devil to replicate most of his works, and as a supernatural spirit Fathered Jesus, so also it is possible that the devil was allowed to use his spirit to father children of disobedience.

What is sure is that demon possessed people without natural feelings will intermix themselves with mankind during the last system of government of the kings dream. Then Jesus shall crush all of mans government, and sets up His eternal government.

Now that Daniel has a foundation of the knowledge of the future. God can expand on his learning. We find in chapter seven that Daniel is given a night vision. He sees a lion with eagle's wings. The wings were plucked and it was made to walk as a man, and a mans heart was given to it.

The second beast arose from the sea, it was a bear and it had 3 ribs in its mouth, and it was commanded to devour much flesh. The third beast was that of a leopard with small fowl's wings, the beast also had four heads and dominion was given to it. The last beast was different from all the other beasts, with iron teeth and ten horns.

This beast had been given power without portion, he was very strong. Three horns were uprooted by a small horn with the eyes of man and he spoke great things.

Whether or not the first three beasts are who we think they are, is of no consequence when considering the fourth or last beast. We know that the last beast is in control of the whole world. It is the last beast that the antichrist uses as a springboard to control the whole world. For most bible teachers the first beast is king Nebuchadnezzar, the second is king Ahasureases, the third is the roman empire, and the fourth is the revived Roman Empire.

I do not know this for sure so I shall limit my subject to the last empire. Remember Daniel is living in what we now call Iraq, Iran and western India. The time period was around 600 BC, Daniel was taken from Israel and enslaved by king Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel was later promoted to third in charge of the region. After king Nebuchadnezzar, was his son king Belshazzar, then king Darius the Mede son of king Ahasuresus and then king Cyrus of Persia.

The dream Daniel has in chapter eight will enlighten the bible student to how real and sure Gods prophecies are in the world today. The dream begins at a river, with a ram that has two horns, one horn was larger and came up last. The ram is pushing in every direction, when a he goat with a notable horn between it's eyes came from the west not touching the ground and smote the ram and break his two horns. There was none that could deliver the ram out of the goat's hands. The goat became great and was broken, where as there came out of the goat four notable ones. Out of one of the four came forth a little horn, this is the antichrist.

Daniel CP 8:3-11 Then I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram with two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last / saw the ram pushing westward, and southward; so that no beast might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eves. And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power. And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and break his two horns, and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken: and for it came up four notable ones tward the four winds of heaven. And out of one of them came forth a little horn. which waxed exceeding great, toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and cast down some of the host of the stars to the ground, and stamped on them. Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

It is clear that the entire vision takes place at the end of time, seeing that the little horn (the antichrist) that takes away the sacrifice is mentioned. Many scholars believe that all of this dream played itself out during ancient times, and this might be a viable explanation had not Daniel included verse 17 and 19. In these verses Gabriel explains to Daniel that the time of the end, shall be the vision; also had there not been evidence of this scenario being played out in current world politics today.

First let us look at what Gabriel has to say to Daniel.

Daniel CP 8:16-21 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of U'la-I, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision. So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision. Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright. And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be . The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings o/"Me'di-a and Persia. And the rough goat is the king of Grecia. and the great horn between his eyes is the first king.

Gabriel tells Daniel "for at the time of the end shall be the vision" and if this were not enough, Gabriel further reinforces this fact "Behold. I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. Now consider that the ram, we are told is the nations of Media and Persia (each representing one of the two horns on the ram); this is modern day Iraq and Iran.

The he goat is the realm of Grecia. or the NATO alliance. Notice that the goat comes from the west, and touches not the ground. NATO mobilized itself by flying over to Persia from the west. Also consider that of the two horns we have only fought one (Iraq), we have yet to finish the war with Iraq, Iran and whoever aligns themselves on Iraq's and Iran's side thus being the larger horn that rose up last.

Daniel CP 8:21-26 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power. And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding of dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand. And he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

Since we (NATO) have begun this war against Iraq, we have found a constant flow of willing fighters spilling over from Syria and Iran; this war is not over by a long shot. We will soon be in a nuclear showdown with Iran and other countries that choose to align themselves with Iran. This second war will cause the world to turn against America. America will enter third world status as the European union will take center stage.

To consider the idea of our country becoming a third world nation is hard to believe, however, America, the backbone of NATO has only held superpower status for forty years, and now we have become the world's largest debtor nation. Our horn shall be broken when that note comes due.

When our system of world government has been dismantled, then four kings shall arise out of this world's government, there shall be fighting between them, and then the antichrist shall show up. He shall have supernatural power to seduce the nations, and by peace he shall destroy many. Gabriel tells us that this leader shall understand dark or unlearned things; He shall turn on the Holy people to destroy them. This is the same scenario that we have seen in Matthew 24; wars, and rumors or wars then they shall deliver you up, and shall kill you for my names sake.

Gabriel reminds Daniel that this shall not happen for a long time, when he says, for it shall be for many days.

In chapter nine, Daniel has found the writings of the prophet Jeremiah, and discovered prophecy concerning the length of the captivity in Babylon to be seventy years. Daniel begins to pray for his nation and intercede for them before God.

Keep in mind that the seventy years of captivity is not related to the seventy weeks Gabriel speaks of in chapter nine. While Daniel is yet praying, the man Gabriel pays a visit to instruct Daniel concerning the vision. Daniel is perplexed by his vision, because of the temple's destruction and the taking away of the sacrifice. Gabriel begins to inform Daniel about that part of the dream. He tells of a seventy week time period during which the temple is rebuilt, ruined and the sacrifice is discontinued.

Daniel CP 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Remember these seventy weeks are clarification and expansion on Daniel's dream, of which he was told, dealt with the time of the end. Daniel is told of a seventy week period at the end of time when the Jews will rebuild the temple and sacrifice again; however, their sacrificing shall be halted by the Antichrist. The purpose of the seventy weeks is spelled out in this verse; 1) To finish transgression, 2) To make an end of sins, 3) To make reconciliation for sins, 4) To bring in everlasting righteousness, 5) To seal up the vision (conclude the vision), 6) and to anoint the most Holy (for His thousand year reign). Notice the finality of each part, this seventy weeks occur at the end of time, and usher in the millennial reign.

Daniel CP 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

First consider that the Jews rejected the first Messiah, and they still await their Messiah, secondly, considering that the temple is in Palestinian hands, and for the Jews to secure the Dome of the Rock would mean confrontation with the Muslim world; you can see how the bible states that the building will take place in troublous times. The purpose for the Jews to rebuild the temple will be to worship their Messiah (the antichrist).

When Israel begins construction on that temple site, then be looking for the antichrist to pop in and sign the deal for peace.

It would appear that the city is already in disarray when this building program is initiated, seeing that the street needs reconstruction. We know from revelation chapter 11 that the Jews are granted access to the reconstructed temple for 42 months while the gentiles only have access to the city and the outer court. John is instructed not to measure the outer court because it does not exist; the gentiles have it and the rest of Jerusalem.

Revelation CP 11:1-2 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise and measure the temple of God, and the alter, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the gentiles: and the Holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

For forty-two months the Jews are sacrificing unto their Messiah in the reconstructed temple, meanwhile, the two witnesses from the True God are performing their witness to the world.

At the end of the forty two months the antichrist shall kill them, and when their bodies are raised three days later the Jews will begin to loose faith in their Messiah which will in turn cause the wicked one to discontinue the sacrifice and sit it the throne himself claiming himself to be God. He will then turn against the Jews and kill them.

Where it speaks of seven weeks: and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. The seven weeks is included in the threescore and two weeks, that is, of the seventy weeks only a total of sixty-two weeks has transpired. In the sixty third week, the antichrist confirms the original covenant for 3 days and then turns on the Jews. This is affirmed in the next verse, "and after threescore and two weeks".

Daniel CP 9:26&27 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

If the seven weeks were not part of the threescore and two weeks then verse 26 would have started, And after threescore and nine weeks, However it did not, therefore we an conclude that there are yet seven weeks of the seventy to be determined Upon the Jews at this point. What happens in these last seven weeks you might wonder? We will see this later in this book.

This is not the modern teaching of this passage; in fact, I have heard teaching throughout my Christian life that this passage only deals with the past. It has been commonly taught that this deals with Jewish history and has no future significance. I wondered how one might conclude this for many years. The Lord reveled to me how this teaching came about. There was a man who lived some fifty or so years after Jesus, who was a Roman and also a Jew. His name was Josephus, a roman historian. Josephus, in the first century, began the foundation for this belief. I do not know if he was a Christian, however he testifies to the very existence of one so-called Jesus.

He states in his writings;

Antiquities book 18 chapter 3 verse 3 “Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man, for he was a doer of wonderful works- a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews, and many of the gentiles. He was the Christ; and when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had condemned him to the cross, those that loved him at the first did not forsake him, for he appeared to them alive again the third day, as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him; and the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not extinct at this day”.

This roman historian, while he had nice things to say about Jesus also was used of the Romans to destroy Jerusalem in 70 AD. He also was used of Satan to begin this illusion that Daniel's dreams were not of the time of the end, but rather of the time when Seria conquered Jerusalem.

The grounds for this belief are founded in his writings, as Josephus explains Daniel chapter nine

Antiquities book 10 chapter 11 verse 276 “and that from among them there should arise a certain king that should overcome our nation and their laws, and should take away our political government, and should spoil our temple, and forbid the sacrifices to be offered for three years time. And indeed it so came to pass, that our nation suffered these things under Antiochus Epiphanies, according to Daniel's vision, and what he wrote many years before they came to pass. In the very same manner Daniel also wrote concerning the roman government, and that our country should be made desolate by them”.

The passage that Josephus is referring to is that of Daniel chapter nine where the antichrist destroys the temple and forbids sacrifice. The fact that Josephus places the prophecy in past tense as if this man Antiochus Epiphanies was the antichrist and has laid foundation for the belief that this passage has no future application.

God has pointed Daniel toward the day when Jesus his Son shall reign on this earth. First, Daniel was told of the statue with ten toes, then the expounding on this thought Daniel was taught of the four kings in Persia, the forth ends up being the antichrist. Then Daniel is given enlightenment on the seventy weeks that God will use to complete the vision, he is told of the 2300 days, and finally in chapter 11, God lays out in detail the events leading up to the end of time.

For the Jews to obtain the Holy ground that the temple sits on, there must be a war. The Palestinians will not let the Jews have this property peacefully. The new Messiah will require the temple to be built unto himself, so the Jews can worship him. I believe that there is a laps in time between the 62 nd week and the week in which the antichrist confirms the covenant for one week and turns on the Jews in the middle of that week. I believe that what splits this time period is the reign of the antichrist.

The seventy weeks purpose was to finish up the transgression and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to anoint the most holy. I have heard it taught that this is speaking of one of two time periods; one is that the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. The problem with this is that the destruction comes after Jesus was anointed; also these seventy weeks were to make an end of sin. I see no end in sight.

The other idea was that it might be talking of the rebuilding during Nehemiah's time but the problem with this is that Jesus himself refers to this passage as to a future event, (when ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet.)(Matt 24:15) Jesus was giving instructions for when this event would take place, making it a prophecy of the future and not of the past.

All scripture must point to the same end, if one scripture clearly disproves a theory then that theory no matter how long it has been taught must be set aside. It is my goals to cast aside false teachings of prophecy and through the Word make clear what lies ahead for the believer in these last days.

Daniel CP 9:23-24 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding of dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

Daniel CP 7:25 And He shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times, and the dividing of time.

Daniel CP11: 33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, and by spoil many days.

Matthew CP 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

Revelation CP 20:4 And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

The easiest way to make sense out of chapter 11 of Daniel, is to begin at a known point of reference. The only place that it seems reasonable to start is with the first verse in chapter 12. (The End of Time)

Daniel CP 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

All references to the time period spoken of indicate that it is the point of time that the antichrist has finished his 42-month reign, and the rapture is at hand. At this time God shall make a roll call out of His Book of Life, and deliver those who trust in his son. Remember the sun has gone out and the moon shines bright red, as Jesus appears in the heavens, clothed with a cloud, returning to awaken those who believe in Him. From this point in time, (The End of Time) we will look back into chapter 11.

It would be wise to remind the reader that before Jesus returns, the emphasis will be on the antichrist, therefore one can only assume that the he in chapter 11:45 is referring to the antichrist.

Daniel CP 11:45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

This verse is a transitional verse, while restating the failure of his efforts and the location of his palace; the verse also is a final reflection of the main subject, the antichrist in chapter 11 so that the focus can be turned to the deliver in chapter 12. The verses preceding this verse shall inform us of the status of the antichrists kingdom immediately before his end.

Daniel CP 11:40-44 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

At the final moments of the antichrists 42-month reign, the king of the north and the king of the south shall turn against him and with one accord shall they fight the antichrist himself. Notice that the weapons are that of horses, chariots and ships. For one who lives in the twentieth century to consider a reversal in technology is almost absurd; however, when taking into consideration the principal of electro magnetic pulse, one can explain this technical reversal.

One day in the early eighties while watching the congress channel, I observed over thirty of the world's renowned scientist explain to congress the impact this shock wave would have on our planet if experienced. The scientist one after another expounded on the subject with catastrophic results.

The pulse is generated by exploding a nuclear weapon off in space, outside the ionosphere, thus resulting in a magnetic pulse that renders all electronic devices unusable. It appears that at the end of His reign, when the kings come against the antichrist, that he attempts to conquer all of the countries in the Middle East, however Edom and Moab are overlooked. In Matthew chapter 24:15 the Jews in Israel are instructed to run to the mountains of Moab and there they would find refuge from the antichrist.

Matthew CP 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, who so readeth, let him understand: Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Notice that they are instructed to do so when they see the abomination of desolation, this is when the antichrist pollutes the sanctuary with his own presence.

2Thessalonians CP 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped: so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

At the end of his reign he is also troubled by tidings from the east and the north, as well as the armies of the king of the north and south. The whole world seems to have lost respect for the god of this world, and have turned on the antichrist to destroy him.

The reason for their loss in respect for the antichrist is because he failed to keep the two witness that he killed dead. To prove this one must identify when the two witnesses are killed. Revelation 11:15 where the last or seventh angel sounds his trumpet is described in Rev. 10:6-7 as the End of Time.

Immediately preceding this trump we find the killing of the two witness in Rev. 11:7-12. This in it self proves that the two witness shall die just before the very end. The beginning of chapter 11 in Revelation tells us that the temple is in use for worship during the 42 months by the Jews. The gentiles are in possession of the outer court.

As we step backward in the eleventh chapter of Daniel we shall see his killing of the believers and his committing of the Abomination in the temple.

Daniel CP 11:29 -33 At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or the later. For the ships of chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant. And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.

Daniel CP 11:34-39 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed. And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. But in his estate he shall honor the god of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honor with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many and shall divide the land for gain.

At the time appointed the antichrist turns against the holy covenant and the Jews, sits in the temple and claims his own self to be God. His last efforts to reign are hindered by the king of the north and the king of the south. This battle was not as the former battles won by the antichrist, for the ships of chittum, from the isles of the Mediterranean, shall grieve him, and force him to retreat. This will cause him to turn against the covenant he has with Israel, and have intelligence with those who forsake the holy covenant. He will use the forces of those who forsake the covenant, to destroy the city and the sanctuary, remember “he” is the antichrist, the accepted Messiah of the Jews.

Daniel CP 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and unto the end of the war desolation's are determined.

The seventy weeks we have referenced here, 62 of which are expired at the point where Jerusalem and the sanctuary are destroyed, state that the messiah shall be cut off, and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and sanctuary. The antichrist shall be cut off at the end of his 42 months, and after he has desolated the sanctuary, he will use another to destroy it while he has mounted an assault on the natural Jews that will last 45 days. Keep in mind this is at the end of his reign, the world has turned against him because he could not keep the two witness dead after he had killed them. He returns to his Palace and for the first half of the week he assures the Jews while secretly meeting with rulers to overthrow the Jews.

Daniel CP 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

It would seem that this verse is giving timing between these two mentioned events, however, that does not fit when considering that the Antichrist only has 42 months and the Jews worship him for his reign; there for it is illogical for him to be taking away their sacrifice to their messiah until the very end. It makes more sense that the verse is saying, from the time the sacrifice be taken away and that desolation be set up; from that time till what? Until the antichrist has begun his reign. Remember the antichrist is where the focus of this time shall be on, and there for it is from the time the beast assumes his reign till the end of time. Blessed is he that trussed the Word and ran to the mountains, blessed is he that cometh to the end of that forty five day period.

In essence the antichrist rules for 42 months, preceding his reign the temple is taken by the Jews and rebuilt. Worship begins as the sacrifices begin through the covenant of the antichrist. Meanwhile the army that was prepared prior to the temples construction and after the pit is opened, is set in motion to kill the believers during the antichrists reign.

At the end of the 42 months when the witness come back to life the antichrist turns on the Jews enters the temple and claims to be God while sitting on the throne. He begins a search to kill the Jews that lasts for 45 days. The believing Jews will run to Moab for safety. At that point the Lord appears in the Clouds to Rapture His saints.

The extra 4 days are to be subtracted because the antichrist confirms the covenant for 1 week and then turns on the Jews mid week. The remainder of time in that week is accounted for in the 45 days difference between the time the Jews have the covenant and the antichrist turns on them.

Review: What have we learned it this Chapter?

1) A clear description of the rapture is located in Daniel Chapter 12:1

2) Daniels dreams were used by God to teach him and us what would happen during the end of the world.

3) Daniels 2300 days can be accounted for in the time references derived from The Revelation.

4) The best way to understand timing in the book of Daniel is to begin at a known point and that point is the Rapture.

5) The false teaching of modern times on the timing of Daniel originated with the first century historian Josephus

6) The seventy weeks are divided into two segments of time, 62 & ½ weeks and a 45-day period. One occurs before the antichrist reign and the other after he breaks the covenant.

7) The covenant between the antichrist and the Jews allows then to have control of the temple and the rest of the city is given to the gentiles. This ends hostilities between the Muslims and the Jews after the Jews seize the temple grounds.

8) The covenant also must not require the Jews to receive the mark of the beast. This is based on the calling of them to flee to Moab for their salvation in Christ.

9) The vision of the ram and the goat identify our current war with Iraq and our assurance that a larger war with Iran is soon to follow.
