War with Iran

Daniel had a Dream of a Goat and a Ram in Daniel 8:3

Daniel 8:19-21 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

Common teaching of this passage finds its roots in a first century historian named Josephus. Josephus was trying to put to shame the Epicureans beliefs that the God of Creation had stepped away from His creation and allowed it to evolve without influencing the outcome, sort of like autopilot. In His endeavor to do this he mistakenly thought the dreams pertained to events before Christ. He ascribed the prince of the covenant to be Antiochus Epiphanes. He believed that the destruction of the temple and the taking away of the daily sacrifice was Epiphanes's sack of Jerusalem in 167 BC, in his return from Egypt. Antiochus Epiphanes was the king of Syria and did do harm to the Jews and the temple, however this is not what the Ark angel Gabriel was teaching Daniel.

Josephus wrote:

Antiquities book 10 chapter 11 verse 276 “and that from among them there should arise a certain king that should overcome our nation and their laws, and should take away our political government, and should spoil our temple, and forbid the sacrifices to be offered for three years time. And indeed it so came to pass, that our nation suffered these things under Antiochus Epiphanies, according to Daniel's vision, and what he wrote many years before they came to pass. In the very same manner Daniel also wrote concerning the roman government, and that our country should be made desolate by them”.

Gabriel was teaching Daniel what would happen in the end of time and that is why the vision culminates with the Lord Jesus overcoming the prince of the covenant and setting up His kingdom

Daniel 8:13-17 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man. And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision. So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

Gabriel tells Daniel that the vision is of the time of the end. Daniel is perplexed by the vision and wants more information and so Gabriel returns to further expound on the vision.

Daniel 9:21-24 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision. Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Daniel is told of the final part of the dream and about 70 weeks that immediately precede the return of the Lord.

The war Daniel was told of is with what is now known as modern day Iraq (Media) and Iran (Persia). The Ram is one animal with 2 horns, one symbolizes Iraq ( the smaller first war) and the second symbolizes Iran (the second and larger war)

Notice that the Adversary to the ram is a Goat with one horn called the realm of Grecia. Had this been Antiochus Epiphanes and the Syrian s Gabriel would have said so.

Daniel 8:5 And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

This Goat is a flying Goat that touched not the ground and comes from the West on the face of the whole earth. There is no chance that this could be the man Josephus thought it was, it only was an argument of his to try and prove that God was overseeing the day to day operations of mankind.

All the Bible Scholars base their beliefs, of these dreams, of Daniel on a mistaken hunch of one mans pride.

This War you see before you of the U. S./ U.N., Iraq and Iran was prophesized in the Bible by Daniel. The second war is a lot bigger than the first war. We will be fighting Iran and other Muslim nations. This war will be Nuclear and will usher in the collapse of United States world power. The European union will fill the void and assume the helm of world domination.
